Talking about yourself is incredibly difficult, isn’t it?
Well, how about a Thank You to start things off? Thank you for coming to my website, and for taking a bit of extra time to dig into the “About” page. For what it’s worth, your interest is appreciated.
My name is Jack Ryan Marsh. Yes, really. I am remarkably dissimilar to the Tom Clancy character: I have neither his sharp jaw nor his heart-stopper eyes nor his tactical mind. I bear little resemblance to the likes of Alec Baldwin, Harrison Ford or Ben Affleck, though I did stop a nuclear war once.
Or was that a dream?
Dammit Jim, I’m an engineer, not an action star! The closest I’ve been to action was the one time I crashed an ATV into a tree and sprained my ankle. Instead, I have my adventures somewhat vicariously: through the fantastical stories that haunt my bookshelves.
“What stories do you enjoy?” I hear you cry, your voice full of impatient rage. “Get on with it!” (Yes, get on with it!)
Peace, please! Let me show you.
